AKG C12 VR! Great mic!
The AKG C 12 VR is an amazing mic. I first heard it at my boy Mark's studio in Santa Monica. Its a solid piece, beautiful design and has great character and presence. This mic is a replica of the old one from many years ago called the C12. It retains much of the similar traits of the original. Now you know I am a Neumann mic and Blue Microphones guy but lets just say I will be adding this one to the mic collection. It will set you back some money though. Like the Neumann M149, its in the $5000 range so be ready to drop the funds if your are serious. Also consider pairing this mic or the Neumann with a really good mic pre amp! I will post some recommendations soon. Here is the link to there site! AKG C12 VR

BPM! - Not all Plugins are built the same!
BPM is a new take on a old idea! Though its presets are ok, what makes this thing great is all the things you can do with it. The fact that you can drop in your samples and use its tools to manipulate it in ways a real MPC could not! Check this one out. you wont be disappointed! Here is the link. Motu MPM

Mackie HR824 mk2 - SO I caved in a bought a pair of these
For years I was an Event monitor guy for a long time. I decided I wanted a new pair cause the ones I had did not give me a full image of the sound. Usually I would have too much base and not enough mid range. So, after fighting it for years, I bought these. Best investment I made!. these monitors are Rock solid! and with the reflex passive speak in the back it throws off enough bass to act almost like a sub woofer. It helps because it forces me to back off the low end! If you are looking for a new pair of monitors, definitely check these out! Here is the link. Mackie HR 824 mk2
