Cockos Reaper - An Affordable Option that Works With Almost anything!

 

 Reaper is a DAW made by the company Cockos Incorporated. It is designed to work with nearly every audio interface (including Digidesign Pro Tools interfaces). This product is rock solid. It can run in Windows as well as Mac and the best part, it has no limit on track count or plugins per track! It works with VST, DXi, and AU Plugins (Mac OSX only). The software is small enough to be installed on a USB thumb drive so you can make your studio portable! The other great thing this company did is with the price. Reaper cost $225. However, If you are a Student, don't make much money off of music, or do music as a hobby, you can get Reaper for $60! They also give you 30-days to try it out and see if you like it. You cant beat that! For those who know me, you know I am a fan of having options. I primarily work in Logic 9 and Pro Tools 8 but as a back up, Reaper is a great option for travel, working on a plane, when you cant bring your audio interface, or just in general! Reaper
